Care Connection for Aging Services invites all seniors to a Free Fit & Fun event at the Warrensburg Senior Center on Tuesday, Feb. 28.
The event will be from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the senior center, 445 E. Gay. It will include hands-on games and prizes, as well as information on how people 60 and older can maintain physical and mental fitness.
Games and activities include exercise demonstrations, beach ball basketball, hula hoops, Bingo, coloring for adults, and healthy-snacking demonstrations. Game winners will receive prizes, and drawings will take place for prize baskets.
“We want to get Johnson County’s seniors up, moving, and healthy. We want them to see some easy, hands-on activities they can use to stay active and prevent common diseases and conditions,” said Rona McNally, Care Connection Director of Special Projects.
A boxed lunch with a chicken salad on croissant, a dessert, and drink will be available for $5 with advanced reservation.
The event, which is free and open to the public, also will showcase services offered by Care Connection for Aging Services through the Warrensburg Senior Center.
