Our Home Delivered Meals Help Sustain At-risk Seniors
Home delivered meals are key in helping to keep nutritionally at-risk seniors in their own homes. Seniors who are home-bound, age 60 and over and assessed to be nutritionally at-risk, are eligible to receive home delivered meals.

Meals are carefully planned to include a balance of required nutrients and packaged with the Oliver tray system which assures quality, safety and ease of reheating. All home delivered meals meet one-third of the recommended daily allowances for persons 60 and older.

As with congregate meals, individuals are asked to make a voluntary contribution toward the full cost of the home delivered meal. No eligible person is ever denied a meal if unable to contribute.

Most home delivered meal recipients receive a hot meal delivered to their door five days per week. They also may receive a second meal which could be a breakfast sack, a supper sack or a frozen meal. Frozen meals are supplied to individuals for weekend meals. If distance from the center makes daily delivery of meals difficult, some seniors may receive a delivery once a week of one hot meal and the balance in frozen meals.
