Six senior centers in the Care Connection for Aging Services area will present Medicare 101 presentations during August.
The hour-long presentations are geared toward people who are preparing to enroll in Medicare or recently enrolled in the program – whether they plan to continue working or to retire. The sessions are presented at noon with the idea that working folks can attend.
Participants will learn about Medicare’s benefits, premiums, deductibles and copayments, as well as the differences in Parts A, B, C, and D.
The workshops will be presented at noon:
•Aug. 17 at the Margaret Gray Center, 811C S. Business Highway 13, Lexington.
•Aug. 22 at the Sedalia Senior Center, 312 S. Washington, Sedalia.
•Aug. 23 at the Warsaw Senior Center, Harbor Village, 17571 N. Dam Access Road, Warsaw.
•Aug. 23 at the Carroll County Senior Center, 200 Lifecare Lane, Carrollton.
•Aug. 29 at the Neal Center, 301 N. Main, Nevada, MO
•Aug. 31 at the Rivers Crossing Life Center, 5215 Business Highway 13 NE, Osceola.
The sessions are free and open to the public. Reservations are required and can be made by calling Stacey Gilkeson at 1-800-748-7826. Lunch will be available to people who are 60 and older for a contribution. Lunch will be available for the cost of the meal for those younger than 60.
