We need your help finding the most engaging seniors!

Date: April 12, 2018 | Category: News

We are trying to find the “most engaging, involved older people in your area, and we need your help.

Care Connection for Aging Services is seeking nominations for people in your community who exemplify this year’s theme for national Older Americans Month, “Engage at Every Age.” To meet the criteria, people 60 or older must live in a manner that exemplifies such engagement.

Every May, Care Connection joins the national observance of Older American’s Month. The 2018 theme, Engage at Every Age, emphasizes that you are never too old (or young) to take part in activities that can enrich your physical, mental, and emotional well-being. It also celebrates the many ways in which older adults make a difference in our communities — participating in activities that promote mental and physical wellness, offering your wisdom and experience to the next generation, and seeking the mentorship of someone with more life experience than you. We will select one senior from your community for this recognition.

The nomination form, as well as a news release outlining the award program, is attached to this email. The nomination is easy to fill out. The deadline is April 30.

Please pass this information along to your colleagues, friends, and family members, and encourage them to nominate a deserving person! All the nominees will be recognized at a luncheon in May.
