We are offering our free money management seminar tailored to women on June 3-5 in an online format.
“Money Management: What Every Woman Should Know,” will be offered on Zoom at 10:30 a.m. on June 3, 4 and 5. Each session will last 30 minutes.
The easy-to-understand material will address women’s retirement challenges, income needs and sources, savings and investments, credit card debt, long-term care insurance, financial planning professionals and a financial to-do list.
The curriculum is designed for women but open to all so that spouses, adult children and potential caregivers may attend.
Many older adults have expressed concerns about having enough income to meet basic needs such as food, medical care, housing and utilities.
“Because men have traditionally taken care of finances, senior women are often especially vulnerable,” said Rona McNally, Care Connection Director of Special Projects. “That’s why we are addressing these sessions to women and the people who care about them.”
Registration is required by calling 1-800-748-7826 or emailing information@goaging.org by 5 p.m. June 1; include your email address and phone number so that organizers can provide written materials and online access instructions.
The agency will not sell or recommend any products or services.
“This workshop is one of several offerings that Care Connection will provide online while the agency’s 21 senior centers are closed to the public,” said Diana Hoemann, Executive Director. “Since we are unsure when we will be able to safely resume face-to-face services inside our senior centers, we are adapting as many of our programs as possible to the online format so that we still are serving our clients. The advantage to the format is that we are able to offer it in all 13 counties simultaneously.”
