| News,

The high risk of COVID-19 transmission and health advisories have prompted our centers in Warsaw, Cole Camp, Nevada and Butler to temporarily close the dining rooms to the public and cancel all in-person activities, effective Monday, July 26, 2021. Curbside meals still will be available at all the centers.

The centers, operated by Care Connection for Aging Services, had recently reopened for indoor dining and increased recreation and fitness activities; however, the rise in COVID-19 cases forced the changes for the time being.

“We have taken this step to keep our staff members and guests safe as the spread of the COVID-19 variant continues through Missouri,” said Chris McCune, Regional Services Director. “We still offer our curbside meal pickup and would encourage seniors who are able to come by and get their meals from the center in their community.”

To learn more about curbside meals and the qualifications for home delivery, call your local center.

We will continue to offer an array of online recreational and educational activities, plus support groups, through Connect! Online, a “senior center without walls” that is accessible through the Zoom and Facebook platforms. To see the schedules and register for sessions, please visit www.goaging.org.

Care Managers will be available for telephone appointments to answer a variety of questions, provide information and assist in enrollment in Medicare and other programs for older adults. For more information, call the center or 1-800-748-7826.
