The Rivers Crossing Life Center will offer a free seminar titled “Money Management: What Every Woman Should Know” at 1:30 p.m. Feb. 20.
Care Connection for Aging Services’ County Care Manager Melanie Foster will teach the 90-minute session at the senior center at 4215 Business Highway 13 NE in Osceola.
The seminar is geared toward women 65 and older; however, the sessions are open to spouses, adult children and potential caregivers as well.
Participants will learn about income needs and sources; savings and investments; credit card debt; long-term care insurance; and financial planning professionals. They also will be armed with the information to make a financial to-do list. As a non-profit area agency on aging, Care Connection does not sell or recommend any products or services.
Reservations are not required but are appreciated so that enough materials are on hand. To register, call Foster at 417-646-8292.
Care Connection received support for this project from the Retirement Research Foundation. The curriculum was developed by WISER, Women’s Institute for a Secure Retirement.
