The Home Delivered Meal (HDM) / Data Entry Coordinator is responsible for the development, organization and implementation of a comprehensive system to ensure the timely delivery of home delivered meals to eligible participants utilizing either paid or volunteer delivery drivers. The HDM/DE Coordinator is responsible for maintaining detailed and up-to-date records for all Home Delivered Meal and Congregate participants. The Coordinator is also responsible for the accurate compilation and recording of all financial and services data entry. They are responsible for the compilation and mailing of the month-end reports to Central Office by the 5th of each following month.

PREREQUISITES:
Education: Must be a high school graduate or equivalent. Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in both oral and written form in the language of the work location. Must be able to relate to older adults and their needs, interests and physical conditions. Must be familiar with computer programs and have the ability to learn proprietary business applications.
Experience: Should have previous clerical experience including working with computers. Should have experience in working with volunteers.
Physical: Must be able to perform moderately heavy physical labor required to ensure the smooth flow of the senior center’s operations. Must be prepared for the possibility of extensive walking, climbing stairs, wet floors and extreme changes in temperature and noise. This job requires extensive communication skills which include the ability to hear so that verbal communication can be received, understood and acted upon. Must be able to assess and solve most employee and/or departmental situations. Must be able to be on feet, working, for long periods of time and have the ability to bend, squat and reach. The candidate must have the ability to lift 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Requires the ability to see clearly printed material, and to see objects at a far distance. Job requires extensive use of computers, necessitating use of fingers in coordinated manner.

7.5 hrs a day @ $9.10 an hour.

Job Summary: Assist the Head Cook in various aspects of kitchen operation, including storage, preparation, and service of food. Assist in maintaining sanitation of the general kitchen area. Responsible for correct portioning of food items. Ensure that items packaged for home meal delivery are maintained at appropriate temperature and are served in correct portions. Assists in maintaining the daily perpetual inventory system. Pre-prepares menu items as appropriate for upcoming menus. Responsible for ensuring at all times that standards of quality are met. Must abide by all rules and regulations regarding foodservice safety and sanitation as well as all federal, state and local regulations and health codes .
Prerequisites
Education: Prefer high school graduate or GED. Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the language of the work location. Must be able to perform basic mathematical computations for inventory and ordering purposes. Experience: Prefer a minimum of one year experience in working in food service oriented establishment. Should be familiar with Dept. of Health Regulations regarding Food Service. Must demonstrate good personal hygiene and knowledge of sanitary procedures.
Physical: Moderately heavy physical labor required. Must be able to stand, walk, and climb stairs. Extensive walking. Must have ability to be on feet for long periods of time and have ability to bend, squat, and reach. Subject to wet floors and extreme changes in noise and temperature.
