Yoga is beneficial to the body and the mind. Chair yoga is a variation of traditional yoga and can safely improve our health. Chair yoga is an excellent way to gently loosen and stretch painful muscles and improve circulation. It is gentle, focusing on increasing flexibility, strengthening the body, calming the mind and enhancing range of motion as well as increasing body awareness as you move. Having the aid of a chair helps with improved balance and aids for stability.  Breathing exercises during chair yoga promote focus, mental clarity, and relaxation.  A regular yoga practice can actually influence the chemical balance of the brain which in turn can improve our mental state, calming and stimulating the brain.
