Fun older adult man and the text local West Central Missouri senior centerSince 1973, Care Connection has served as West Central Missouri’s Area Agency on Aging. Our nonprofit agency is proud to operate your local senior center.

These are wonderful resources for older adults who live in both rural and city settings. Our regional network of senior centers are set against a backdrop of:

  • Caring communities in Bates, Benton, Carroll, Cedar, Chariton, Henry, Hickory, Johnson, Lafayette, Pettis, Saline, St. Clair and Vernon counties.
  • Missouri State Fair and Blue-Ribbon horses, mules, cattle, sheep, alpacas and poultry.
  • Sweet, kind-hearted people (with a few practical jokers in every bunch!)

With the famous can-do attitude bred into the DNA of the “Show-Me” state, Care Connection is here to help. These are YOUR senior centers, so come in and participate with your friends and neighbors!

Aging happens! Care Connection gives you the opportunity to create positive experiences to support happy, independent living as long as possible.

The Older Americans Act helps provide funds for YOU to use. Get out and mingle at the senior center for a nutritious senior meal filled with seasonal flavor.

Our center coordinators work hard to develop and maintain a friendly atmosphere. Don’t let worn-out ideas of “getting old” or “those places are only for old people” stop you from joining in the fun!

Take a small risk, come in the front door, and put yourself out here with us. Meaningful social interactions are so important for mental health, after all!

We all need to eat! Make it a habit to come into the senior center for meals every week if you can.

Our cooks know what tastes good to West Central Missourians. We follow time-tested recipes designed to provide one-third of your recommended daily allowance of vitamins, minerals, and calories. Go ahead, and enjoy your dessert!

Butler Senior Center >

Butler, Missouri, in Bates County is considered part of the Kansas City metropolitan area. An important site in Civil War history, Butler was close by the milestone Battle of Island Mound between African Americans fighting for the Union and the Confederate Army. It was also one of three counties impacted by the controversial Order No. 11. Join like-minded friends at the Butler Senior Center and reminisce about the area’s colorful history.

Carrollton, Missouri, in Carroll County is an All-American City with the Wakenda River flowing through town. It was named to honor Charles Carroll, a signer of the Declaration of Independence.

Clinton, Missouri, in Henry County is home to the Harry S Truman Reservoir (also known as Lake Truman) and a charming downtown. This hopping tourist destination also has a thriving senior center. You won’t want to miss out on the fun holidays and happening at the Clinton Senior Center!

Cole Camp Senior Center >

Cole Camp, Missouri, in Benton County is proud to show off its German heritage with fun retail stores and several annual street fairs. Plan a trip to enjoy the fun at the Cole Camp Senior Center, along with Maifest, Oktoberfest, and Christbaumfest!

Concordia Senior Center >

Concordia, Missouri, in Lafayette County is home to the nation’s only residential high school affiliated with the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. Meet up with happy, active seniors like you at the Fall Festival and CCC Parade. Don’t miss the social scene during lunch at the Concordia Senior Center!

El Dorado Springs Senior Center >

El Dorado Springs, Missouri, in Cedar County offers a quaint history with its namesake natural springs and three days of fun at the Founder’s Day picnic! Home to America’s longest-running Municipal Band and active bandstand. These days, El Do seniors take full advantage of their El Dorado Springs Senior Center for fellowship, food, fun, and fitness activities.

Higginsville, Missouri, in Lafayette County plays a role in America’s history with the historical Confederate Soldiers’ Home, which is now preserved as the Confederate Memorial Cemetery. Holden, Missouri, in Johnson County is a bird-watcher’s paradise with the 385-acre Holden City Lake and large recreational area. Stockton, Missouri, in Cedar County is home to the scenic Stockton Lake. You’ll catch plenty of fish! Keep your eyes peeled, and you’ll also catch sight of lots of bald eagles and sailboats along its shores. Area residents and seasonal visitors love checking out the Korth Center for lunch and laughter!

Lexington, Missouri, in Lafayette County was the site of the Battle of Lexington Historic Site and the steamboat trade along the river wharf. Today, Lexingtonians enjoy touring their historic old buildings and catching up together over rousing events like Trivia Night and Bingo! Visit the Margaret Gray Center for a meal and stay for the fun.

Marshall Senior Center >

Plenty of interesting folks live in Marshall, Missouri, in Saline County. It appeals to the business-minded, with a large ConAgra Foods plant now owning the property of the old Nicholas-Beazley Airplane Co. factory. If you are a music fan, Marshall is a great place with a Philharmonic Orchestra and Municipal Band. Even gifted “Jim the Wonder Dog” found a home here! No matter what your story is, you’ll fit right in at the Marshall Senior Center.

McCarty Senior Center >

Wheatland, Missouri, in Hickory County is near the beautiful Pomme de Terre Lake and a favorite destination spot of fisherman, campers and boaters. Summer is the busy season in Wheatland, and you’ll find friendly residents and light-hearted seasonal visitors at the McCarty Senior Center in Wheatland.

Populated by the indigenous Osage people, the role Vernon County played in the fur trade is commemorated at the Osage Village State Historic Site. The county is also home to Cottey College. Visit the Neal Senior Center in Nevada, Missouri for a central “hot spot” to meet friends.

Odessa Senior Center >

Odessa, Missouri, in Lafayette County is loving life with a range of boutique shops and several festivals each year. Don’t miss Puddle Jumper Days or the Odessa Rodeo! If you are 60 or older, you’ll want to check out the Odessa Senior Center, too. These friendly folks sure know how to have a good time!

Osceola, Missouri, in St. Clair County is rich in history from the original Osage tribe to the burning and plundering of Osceola during the Civil War. Located on the Osceola River, the beauty of the area appeals to travelers heading out to enjoy the region’s planned system of lakes. They stop here for Osceola Cheese, Rodeo Daze Parade, Osceola Rodeo and a great meal at the Rivers Crossing Life Center.

Salisbury Senior Center >

Salisbury, Missouri, in Chariton County is home to the Salisbury Steak Festival each June! This small town has a lot of heart, and their high school athletes have won several Missouri state championships. Join your friends and neighbors from Clifton Hill, Keytesville and towns all across Chariton County at the Salisbury Senior Center with fun activities for seniors.

Sedalia Senior Center >

Sedalia, Missouri, in Pettis County is home of the musical style Ragtime, and music still plays a big part here with America’s longest-running civic orchestra. Sedalia was a big railway town, and now boasts the famous KATY Trail for bikers, walkers, and horseback riders. No one can miss the Sedalia Senior Center, set in the outstanding Heckart Community Center. Make it a big part of your day, like so many others do!

Warrensburg Senior Center >

Warrensburg, Missouri, in Johnson County is the historic birthplace of the phrase “Man’s best friend,” coined after the infamous trial of Old Drum at the Johnson County Courthouse! It’s also a busy college town and home of the University of Central Missouri with its mascot Mules. You’ll also find plenty to see and do at the energetic Warrensburg Senior Center. Be sure to check out their meals for seniors, and try a fitness class!

Warsaw Senior Center/Harbor Village Cafe >

Warsaw, Missouri, in Benton County is home to the Truman Dam. This tourist-friendly small town sits near both Harry S Truman Reservoir and Lake of the Ozarks. Shoppers love touring through the old downtown! The Warsaw Senior Center reflects this light-hearted attitude with plenty of special events and fitness classes for older Americans.

Windsor Senior Center >

Windsor, Missouri, in Henry County is the Northern Gateway to Truman Lake. It’s also a welcoming stop for bikers at the intersection of the Katy Trail and Rock Island Spur. There is a thriving Amish community in Windsor. Located on Main Street, Windsor Senior Center is filled with bingo-lovers and long-time area residents. It’s also well-known as an easy place to make new friends.
