Give 5 and Care Connection logos

Care Connection for Aging Services is excited to announce the upcoming session of the innovative Give 5 program, starting February 3. This unique program is designed to match retired or nearly retired adults in Johnson County with rewarding volunteer opportunities.

The Give 5 sessions will be held on February 3, 5, 10, and 12 at the Benson Center, 1008 E Sedalia Ave, Clinton, MO 64735. This will mark the second session of the program hosted by the agency in Henry County.

There is no cost to participants. Each meeting day will last six or seven hours, with lunch and snacks included. There will be class time with speakers, and participants will board a bus to visit various nonprofit locations. These visits will help attendees explore different volunteer opportunities in the community and find the best fit for their interests.

The program’s goal is to introduce participants to new people and new ways of thinking via a shared experience and the bonding that occurs among participants – as well as link individuals with their true passions within their community’s nonprofit organizations.
