Kinship Connection

The Kinship Connection Program empowers relatives who are dedicated to caring for grandchildren under 18, providing essential resources to help them understand their rights and access the assistance they need.

Kinship Connection Summer Party

The Kinship Connection Summer Party was a fantastic success! Grandparents and their adorable grandchildren had a blast playing mini golf, hopscotch, and creating a fun handprint crab ocean scene. We also splashed around with some exciting water games! Of course, we had plenty of tasty snacks available for everyone to munch on while enjoying all the fun activities. What a wonderful day filled with laughter and smiles!

Kinship Connection Support Group

Join us the last Wednesday of every month from 1 to 2 p.m. for an engaging session designed specifically for     grandparents and relatives who are raising children. Each session is packed with invaluable information to help you navigate the unique challenges and stressors of this rewarding role. We’ll explore essential topics, including promoting children’s well-being and discovering effective ways to support both yourself and your family. As a special treat, all participants will receive a thoughtful gift pack. Plus, you can earn Kinship Caregiver Credits for kinship licensure! Best of all, participation is completely free, and walk-ins are warmly welcomed. Don’t miss out on this opportunity—register today by calling Tammy Wilkey at 660-438-3300, ext. 3. We look forward to seeing you there!
