El Dorado Springs and Korth Senior Centers Launch Change War Fundraiser
The El Dorado Springs and Korth Senior Centers are holding a Change War Fundraiser from May 1st to June 30th to help raise crucial funds for programs and services benefiting older adults in Cedar County.
Community members are encouraged to support their center of choice by donating to designated collection buckets at the El Dorado Springs Senior Center (604 S. Forest, El Dorado Springs) and the Korth Center (309 W. Englewood, Stockton). Collection buckets will also be available at various local businesses throughout the community.
“We think that a little friendly competition between the Cedar County centers will be a great way to raise support for our home-delivered meals and the other services we provide, while engaging the community in a fun and meaningful way,” said Michelle Smith, El Dorado Springs Senior Center Coordinator.
“Every donation, no matter the size, helps support the meals and services that folks in our community rely on each day. We’re excited to see the community rally behind both centers and have a little fun along the way,” added Leigh Anne Watters, Korth Center Coordinator
The winner of the Change War will be announced on July 6th, with all proceeds directly benefiting the respective senior centers’ programs and services. For more information on how to participate or support this initiative, please contact the El Dorado Springs Senior Center at 417-876-5574 or the Korth Center at 417-276-5306.
