Sedalia celebrates opening of new senior center

The Sedalia Senior Center opened in its new location on March 18 in conjunction with the grand opening of the Heckart Community Center. The staff and volunteers celebrated with a fried chicken dinner served to nearly 300 guests after the ribbon cutting festivities at the new center.

The center’s new dining and activities rooms feature two walls of windows to provide and light and bright atmosphere and round tables so that guests easily can visit.  We look forward to welcoming newcomers as well as reuniting with some of our regulars. Watch for new activities as we settle into our new home.
