Connect for Effect at senior volunteer fair

You are invited to a fun and engaging “Connect for Effect” Volunteer Fair for older adults this month.

The second annual event, set for noon to 3 p.m. April 25 at the Johnson County Fairgrounds, will be an excellent opportunity for older adults to peruse a variety of nonprofit agencies that depend on volunteers.

The fair is designed to provide senior adults with a chance to visit with representatives of many nonprofit groups in Johnson County in a relaxed setting.

There also will be a healthy snacking demonstration and a fitness demonstration.

The event, sponsored by our agency and AmeriCorps Seniors, will include exhibits showcasing many of the nonprofits that rely on volunteers support to serve the public.
